About Us

Stephany A. Norris, LPC, NCC specializes in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Valdosta, Georgia.

With over 8 years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, and as a graduate of Valdosta State University, she specializes in cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and person-centered therapy. She is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are working with victims of trauma with or without the prescence of PTSD, acute stress disorder, and other anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder. She has experience working with a wide range of mood disorders, depression, grief/loss, marital conflict/couples issues, self-esteem, adjustment to change, addictions/substance abuse, childhood/adolescent behavioral issues, adoption issues, ADHD, LGBT concerns, lifestyle issues, work related stress. She also conducts play therapy with children of all ages and is currently in the process of obtaining her certification in play therapy.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Stephany A. Norris, LPC, NCC has experience working in an inpatient treatment setting for crisis stabilization, detoxification and short-term rehab for addictions; as well as crisis line work. She has also worked as a psychometrist, administering specific tests as part of a psychological evaluation. She has extensive experience in conducting group therapy for those suffering from a variety of problems including addictions and other mental health related issues. She has also completed post masters thesis work, studying personality traits of counselors and their correlation to either higher or lower risk of burnout.

Stephany is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Regina K. Wisenbaker, LCSW, specializes in individual, couples, and family therapy and maintains a private practice in Valdosta, Georgia.
Regina did her social work internship at the Children's Advocacy Center in Lowndes County and thoroughly enjoyed working with and aiding victims of abuse. She graduated from Valdosta State University and immediately went to work as the sole therapist for the Haven battered women's shelter and sexual assault center, which fueled her desire to work with victims of trauma. Regina's specialty is working with victims of trauma, but she also works with those suffering from a variety of other mental disorders ranging from depression, anxiety, grief/loss, work related issues, and personality disorders. Regina also works with substance abuse issues and is currently working towards obtaining her certification in addictions counseling (CAC).

Regina uses Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other mindfulness based therapeutic approaches in counseling. Her goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients and to aid them in moving past their struggles, while also helping them to be active in the present moment. Regina works with clients of all ages, demographics, and socioeconomic statuses, as well as varying levels of mental illness.

Paris C. Shields, LCSW, specializes in individual, couples, and family therapy and maintains a private practice in Valdosta, Georgia.

Paris is a veteran of the United States Air Force where she was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant at the end of her service. She enjoys working with the military population and understands military culture from firsthand experience.

Paris completed her first social work internship at Lanier County Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS). She enjoyed working in Child Protective Services and Foster Care Programs. Her second internship was completed at Hospice of South Georgia where she had the pleasure of working with bereaved families and patients under hospice care.  Paris also worked as a Parent Aid while in grad School with Pathway to Hope Counseling Agency. After graduating from Valdosta State University she began to work with the developmentally delayed population as a Support Coordinator at Professional Case Management Services of America. She was quickly promoted to a supervisory role within the Support Coordination field and operated as a Quality Assurance Specialist.

After 3 years of servicing the developmentally delayed population, Paris began to take more interest in the clinical side social work and began working as a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Therapist at Behavioral Health of South Georgia. She specializes in working with individuals that suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, grief/loss, relationship issues, building self-esteem, and changing destructive behaviors.

Paris is in the process of being EMDR trained and has already begun the rewarding journey of providing this type of therapy. Paris is also skilled at using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches. Her goal is to help others change self-defeating thoughts and destructive behavioral patterns, in order to aid them in living a life in which they can find happiness. Paris works with clients of all ages, demographics, and backgrounds.

Marla S. Rountree, LPC specializes in individual, couples, and family therapy and maintains a private practice in Valdosta, Georgia.

Marla is a graduate of Valdosta State University. Marla completed practicums and internships in local school settings while completing her Masters of Education in school counseling.

Marla began her clinical career as a therapist in an outpatient setting, working at Behavioral Health Services of South Georgia. She worked at Behavioral Health Services for eight years while working with a variety of populations and mental disorders including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse.  She has experience working with children, adults, and couples. Marla utilizes a variety of therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Marla completed trauma focused Cognitive behavioral therapy training and EMDR training.

Marla provides a safe, nurturing environment in which clients can explore their life challenges without pressure or judgement. Her experience and training alows her to assist individuals and families as they journey through the process of assimilating experiences into their daily life patterns and in learning to be free of the emotional burden that these experiences can create.
